RR AMPUTEE SUPPORT GROUP MEETING Our next support group meeting is September 25th at 7:00 p.m. at Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, TX. Our guest speaker for the night is Chad Bagnell, Ossur Regional Rep. He will be bringing the newest Ossur Prosthetic technology componetry available. Try to make this if you can. Ossur has the new computerized foot that is very interesting and will be fun to see. It will be a great opportunity to see all of the many products available. Chad is nice enough to come so let's have a good turn out for him. As always, we will have something tasty to snack on and will have an open discussion after our speaker. We always welcome friends and family. Come join us for a great night of education, friendship and fellowship. |

The Round Rock Amputee Support Group Peer Visitation Program is strong. We have 9 ACA certified Peer visitors and many more qualified visitors from personal experience. Please let us know if we can assist you and your family or if you know someone who needs a peer visit and we will be there for you.
The Round Rock Amputee Support Group is involved in the statewide grass-roots movement to improve insurance coverage for prosthetics in Texas. We need to hear from those of you that may have insurance difficulties with coverage for prosthetics. We are all fighting for legislation that mandates appropriate levels of insurance coverage for prosthetics and orthotics. Their will be many trips to the Capitol to participate in recruiting House and Senate Members to sign on for supporting our bill. Although the bill did not pass in 2007, we are already jump starting our campaign to fight for insurance parity for amputees in 2009. New and updated info about Parity coming soon. Will have whom to contact and when meetings are scheduled.

We want to build a page of our Support Group members with a pic and bio.. Please send me a small bio about yourself. This will give other amputees a chance to get to know us and maybe connect with another amputee of their amputation level or circumstance that resulted in becoming an amputee. Thanks!!
